Capo on 2nd fret

[G] Jesus was once a [C] teenager [G] too
He knelt on the lawn and he [Em] wept woebe[D]gone,
while [G]all his ex-friends raced like [C] demons in[G]to
the face of the [D]Albion [G]Mall.

[G] Jesus was once a [C] teenager [G] too
He leapt across the rooftops and he [Em] wondered a[D]loud
why [G] all of the neighbourhood [C] night police [G] stood
around the face of the [D] Albion [G] Mall.

 [D]All I'm feeling is [C] sorrow in[G]side.
 [D] Superman feelings I [C] can't help but [G] hide.
I [Am] feel I've been [C] caught in an [Am] animal [C] trap
 [Am] Crucify [C] them, not [G] I. Not I.

(or the Haverkort version)

 [D]All I'm feeling is [C] sorrow in[G]side.
 [D] Superman feelings I [C] can't help but [G] hide.
 I [C] feel I've been [G] caught in an [C] animal [G] trap
 [C] Crucify [G] them, not [D] I. Not I.

[G] His teachers all claimed he'd been [C] smitten with [G] shame
from his father's cheap daredevil [Em] Circus of [D] Fear.
You'll [G] need but a miracle [C] these days to [G] steer
from the face of the [D] Albion [G] Mall.

 [D]All I'm feeling is [C] sorrow in[G]side.
 [D] Superman feelings I [C] can't help but [G] hide.
I [Am] feel I've been [C] caught in an [Am] animal [C] trap
 [Am] Crucify [C] them, not [G] I.

[G] Now, Jesus was once a [C] teenager [G] too
though he could walk on the water, he could [Em] not face the [D]
laughter.
'Cause the [G] tools of his trade were the [C]size of his [G] feet.
G D C G

Notes:
- Use a capo at second fret.
- I have my doubts about the second half of the chorus. Originally, I
was using the Am and C alternating, but I stumbled across a neat chord
I don't know the name of. I've been trying it in place of Am. (It is
X 3 3 2 1 O (kinda like Am crossed with F)). Regardless, I may be
wrong.
- Corrections are welcome. Just email me.
